CATCH ALL SDR UNITS
CatchAll™ - M2 - Software Defined Receiver

CatchAll™ - M4 - Software Defined Receiver

CatchAll™ - M4 - Software Defined Receiver - WoF

Building on MAC Ltd’s MONITOR product family, our CatchAll units combine these with additional functionality to realise RF receiver and transceiver products ready to be deployed in a wide range of real world applications. As well as being available pre-configured with standard application software, these units can also be supplied with application software developed specifically to meet your own requirements.
The CatchAll-M2 packages a MON4000 dual-channel, multi-band receiver in an extruded aluminium enclosure together with a dedicated base card that enhances the capabilities of the basic MON4000 board, adding, amongst other things, support for reception in the 160 to 180 and 380 to 480 MHz RF bands.
The primary application of the CatchAll-M2 is as a VITA-49 radio transport RF front end to translate RF signals of interest to user datagram (UDP) VITA-49 IF data packets. The CatchAll-M2 also forms the basis of MAC Ltd's CatchAll analysis system, a radio survey system designed to enable network operators verify the coverage of their networks. Of course, being a software-defined radio product, the CatchAll-M2 may also be used to implement a wide range of more bespoke applications. If you have an application in mind please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Building upon our MON4000 dual, independent channel Multi-band receiver, each supporting six filtered frequency bands, we have combined two MON4000s into a four channel survey receiver, known as CatchAll-M4.
CatchAll-M4 is further capable of covering 400 to 4000 MHz, with up to 25 MHz signal bandwidth with output sample rates to 30.72 MSps, with other sample rates available on request.
The CatchAll-M4 is a 1U high, half 19" format unit, with a single survey antenna port and simultaneous support for survey tasks in most wireless standards, including 2G to 5G cellular, short-range technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth and IoT systems, eg, LoRaWAN and ZigBee.
Outputs are VITA-49 Streams carried by gigabit ethernet connection (GbE), to the host processing unit. Options are available for required host processing capability depending on task.
CatchAll-M4 operates from 10-57 V DC or from power-over-ethernet (PoE) IEEE 802.3af compliant power sourcing, and with GPS support on board along with high stability 10MHz oscillator for non GPS operation. The units are enabled for multi-unit synchronisation with shared GPS/ reference.

For portable operation the CatchAll-M4 can be supplied in a ruggedised case, which provides space for three 1U half-19” units and is known collectively as a walk- on fit (WoF). A variety of customised configurations are possible, such as dual CatchAll-M4s and a custom host processing unit or a single CatchAll-M4, an Ethernet switch and a rack-mounted PC. Enclosed in a shock mounted rack for transportation and operation, the WoF measures 490 x 290 x 400mm, weighing approximately 15Kg excluding batteries.
Further Information
Several cellular survey analysis and processing applications are available from MAC Ltd on request. Proprietary systems and custom development and further details are also available on request.
