In the summer MAC Ltd, welcomed Jack Driscoll and Henry Wall to their team, as they undertook internships.
We've worked hard to provide them with a particularly interesting and challenging field programmable gate array (FPGA) development project to get stuck into during the summer months. Our objective is to provide them with a real flavour of working in this exciting industry, as well as helping them to develop new skills that they can take with them into the remainder of their studies and future careers.
Jack and Henry are UK Electronic Skills Foundation (UKESF) students and MAC Ltd has sponsored them during their penultimate and final years of study at university. The UKESF is the voice for skills in the electronics industry. Its mission is to encourage more young people to study electronics and to connect the most capable students from leading universities with employers. Jack and Henry are both very promising students and we are excited to support them in the first steps of their careers.
Peter Gould, MAC Ltd’s Managing Director, says “We have been involved in the UKESF sponsorship scheme for a couple of years now and we are really pleased to be able to help these great electronic engineering students through their studies and provide them with valuable industrial experience through these summer internships. We look forward to sponsoring another round of UKESF students in the autumn!”
We them every success in their exciting new career chapter!
